Imagine being Bowser and driving through Mario, Luigi and crashing into Donkey Kong. Cool, eh? In this game that easily can be arranged as this game is truly remarkable.
Burn the rubber on your wheels as in this kart racer it ain't just racing to the finish. This game features weapons. These weapons include shells, homing-shells, bananas, false items, spike shells, stars and tonnes. You can throw shells at your opponents and watch them crash into misery.

In the one player mode it features four glourius cups available at hand for all eight characters: Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach, Yoshi, DK, Wario and Bowser, who race through the Mushroom Cup, Flower Cup, Star Cup and Special Cup.
These cups carry four courses available for anyone to play on. Including a drive through Bowser's Castle with burning fire, Toad's Turnpike where you have to dodge the traffic on the road, Choco Mountain, Mario's Speedway, DK's Jungle Parkway, Wario Stadium and tonnes of others.
As well as giving a wide range of courses and cups, it gives you a selection of engines - whether you'll be a pretty slow 50CC, normal 100CC or a speedy 150CC.

As well as going in competitions and entering yourself for a cup, you can also enter yourself in a time trial mode. This is where you try and beat your last laptime or best laptime. Time Trial is ace as you can play against your own ghost! That's right you can race against your last performance in the race.
Now, this is the best bit of all in this terriffic game; the multiplayer options. Here you have three balloons and drive around in a huge ring (with 2-4 players) with weapons aiming to pop your opponents balloons with selected weapons!
Of course, this is the best racing game on the Nintendo 64 and even is made better if you're in love with Mario characters. The enjoyment can't be broken by anyone.
With a wide range of options you'll sure be dazzled as people race past you. The only downside is that if you usually play alone and have complete the one-player mode, you won't have much fun after completing it, as the multiplayer is brilliant. A lack of lifespan in one-player mode.
The multiplayer options are perfect giving the players ultimate joy! There's always that '..have one more go' feel that keeps you on forever. An essential buy if you have the dosh and the Nintendo 64, of course... If you don't have an Nintendo 64, why not buy one for this game!
